Soft Focus

Sharpness is a decision, not a standard. Every frame in this set was made softer than it could have been: gauze in front of the lens, an aperture wide open, a lens hood left in the bag.

The risk with soft focus is that it hides a bad frame. The test applied here was simple — if the frame did not work when squinted at, it was thrown away regardless of how it looked soft.
