Garden Wall

Ivy, moss, iron and gravel — a garden shot as a set of surfaces.

A garden in flat light is a study in texture rather than colour: ivy, moss, rust, gravel. Each frame picks one surface and lets it fill the background, so the set reads as a catalogue of materials.

Overcast was a requirement, not a compromise. The moment the sun comes out, every one of these surfaces turns into a highlight and the frame collapses.
